It’s been about a year since I have actively posted; and there is so much that is going on in the Church and the world. I have continued on my own faith journey, and come back over this time and have read many things I have written, and see that they are as relevant today as the day I wrote them, so there is no new news here, and my advice remains that what is being asked of us is simple, Prayer, Penance and Eucharist. Live each day in a God-Mindfulness manner, so that your life, your day, is a continual prayer to our Lord. Remember, this doesn’t mean as a secular person, you are living as a nun or monk, but living as a person, honoring and using the Gifts of the Holy Spirit that God has bestowed upon you, and in so doing, by your example, of showing your love for others, they see in the way that you Love and Live, that your are a disciple of Jesus. Indirectly your life, your living will lead others to Jesus and His Saving Graces.
Remember St. Therese has said, just picking up a pin and putting it in order, and if you do that action out of your Love for Jesus, your action can save a soul. Live a Life in Love with Jesus. Your intentions in living, whether it be enduring suffering or celebrating Joy, are critical; for it is your intentions behind your actions, that Jesus knows your heart.
A note about this being the most recent post in a year! I have numerous drafts that are unpublished. I had become overwhelmed with health and personal issues in the last year, and making publishing these posts a work of perfection was overwhelming. I will try and post some drafts, that enhance the core belief of the MTJ Blog , more quickly, rather than attempt perfection. I will never be perfect in this world and anything I do can’t be. I know I need Jesus, and only He can make me perfect, a good motto to follow.
Two take-aways from this post are: Keep the importance of the Eucharist Daily as central in your life, and receive as often as you can; and in the US be energized and renewed by the National Eucharistic Congress, occurring July 17, 2024 in Indianapolis, IN, USA. and; live today, as if you were going to die tonight! per Thomas a Kempis’s writings, and recently referred to by Fr. Pat Collins’ Homily in 2010:
Very simple actions: God-Mindfulness, Prayer, Penance and receiving the Eucharist; but I know if you practice these simple actions, you will be, in Union with Jesus and His Mother, Mary and live forever! This is your Destiny. Fiat! MTJ
