On 4 Nov. 2025 the Vatican News reported the papal document “Mater Populi Fidelis” which says that the terms often ascribed to the Blessed Virgin Mary of “Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix” should be refrained from use, especially when talking to Protestants as they can lead to confusion and potentially take away from the belief of Jesus Christ as the one, true savior of all mankind. At “Mary to Jesus” we thought long and hard about the naming of this blog and references about Consecrating oneself to Jesus through Mary back in 2022. As a result this blog’s theme and web address clearly states that we honor and follow Mary as a role model, for directing our adoration to Jesus. We believe Mary is the “Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix of All Graces. We just changed our home page titles to reflect this belief in view of the new Vatican position.
Being very disturbed by the Vatican position on”Mary” as an insult to Jesus’s mother, we searched for several respected sources who discuss this belief, namely information released by the “Fatima Center” and the encyclical by Pius IX on Mary’s Immaculate Conception. These sources are below for your personal reference. This blog update is attached to a post that has been in Draft status re: a Teacher from Ireland’s Faith Journey with the rosary that is truly inspiring, and we believe embodies the spirit of this blog. There could be no better time to release this post and harden our practice of praying the Rosary! God Bless everyone who reads this and I hope listening to Christine O’Hara, is inspiring. MTJ. Fiat!
Prayer to Mary, Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix of All Graces!
Blessed Virgin, immaculate and pure, you are the sinless Mother of your Son, who is the mighty Lord of the universe. Since you are holy and inviolate, the hope of the hopeless and sinful, I sing your praises. I praise you as full of every grace, for you bore the God-Man. I venerate you; I invoke you and implore your aid. Holy and Immaculate Virgin, help me in every need that presses upon me and free me from all the temptations of the devil. Be my intercessor and advocate at the hour of death and judgment. Deliver me from the fire that is not extinguished and from the outer darkness. Make me worthy of the glory of your Son. O dearest and most kind Virgin Mother. You indeed are my most secure and only hope, for you are holy in the sight of God, to whom be honor and glory, majesty and power forever. Amen. Prayer of Saint Ephrem the Syrian (ca. 306-373)
Pius IX 1854 Papal Encyclical affirming Mary’s Title and Role as the Immaculate Conception
Prayer: “Mother, I believe that you are alive, that you are real, that you are a woman, that you have eyes, a face, a smile, a memory, an intelligence, a heart. You have a mother and father of your own. You have a son, who is truly God, who loves you, who will deny you nothing you ask.” –Father Patrick Peyton, C.S.C. FamilyRosaryOrg
In their words, feel and experience Love for the Rosary…
I can’t say enough,…how this simple journey of Faith and Love of the Rosary, chronicled by Christine O’Hara, a Teacher from Ireland, embodies the thoughts behind the MarytoJesus blog. I won’t get long winded, rather i wish you to listen to this beautiful faith journey and be inspired in the Power of the Rosary!
